STEP UP TO THE PLATE
We invite you to become a part of the field of dreams. Every penny we raise from donations will go toward the construction and the ongoing support for the league. This project is a wonderful way you can help the disabled and bring joy and excitement into the lives of our precious children and young adults. By supporting the field of dreams, you are providing all children and young adults, regardless of their medical condition, the ability to feel the thrill one can only feel when belonging to a team.

It is understood that there will be a need for many volunteers and lots of donations. It will not happen overnight. I believe that there is a place somewhere in your heart for the field of dreams.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR:

•	Startup
•	People to start and assist in fund raising
•	Officers and board members
•	Computer experts –web site, “e” mail & list sponsors on web
•	Grant writers, or knows someone who can help
•	Legal – to assist attorney
•	Insurance, all types
•	People to do background checks, applications & waivers
•	Sponsors and someone to solicit sponsors
•	Money collectors – to assist treasurer
•	Shoppers – to pick up supplies and any type of donation after completion
•	Caretakers
•	Assist disabled – various positions
•	Maintain grounds, dugouts and bleachers
•	Maintain equipment
•	Setting up rosters and coordinate helpers
•	Announcer at games – introduce children when coming to bat, making a play in outfield and crossing home plate
•	Sound effects – cheering, hitting ball, clapping ,etc..
•	Stuffers – mailers and distributors
•	Gardeners and lawn people
•	Healthcare - knowledge of first aid and disabled persons
•	Coordinators & helpers – set up scheduling for games, teams, times and dates, and inform parents and coaches
•	Coaches and assistants – to assist players with batting running around the bases and fielding. Some knowledge of children with disabilities will be helpful.
